My family and I have been skiing at Stratton for 18 years. We have seen some great winters and some not-so-great winters, but the quality of snow and trail conditions are routinely pristine. Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with VP of Mountain Operations Craig Panarisi, Snowmaking Manager Kevin Booth, and Mountain Operations Manager Paul Maitland to discuss the complex task of snowmaking here at Stratton Mountain. I wanted to learn more about how they ensure that consistent snow quality. Paws for a Cause
Over 300 of the area’s greatest residents on four legs came together at Stratton Mountain Labor Day Weekend to benefit Shaftsbury, VT’s Second Chance Animal Center. The day included pools throughout the mountain’s village, a bone bar, group hike, demonstrations, and lots of friends and fun.

Donavon Frankenreiter Concert
In August of 2016, Stratton Mountain welcomed acclaimed singer-songwriter, Donavon Frankenreiter, for an outdoor concert under the tent. The show was part of the Back to the Base summer concert series and the music blended seamlessly with our peaceful Southern Vermont surroundings.

The Machine
The world’s premier Pink Floyd rock and light show, The Machine, came to Stratton Mountain for a memorable night on August 13. The performance featured an amazing “close your eyes and you’re there” musical performance and an extraordinary light show punctuated by nature’s own lightning show in the distance under the night sky.

The Wailers
On a beautiful August evening, the ever-popular Wailers delighted concertgoers outside and under the tent at Stratton Mountain as part of the 2016 Back to the Base summer concert series. This particular Saturday was filled with One Love.
