Designer, Interior Design Retailer
“When I am putting together the design concept, where I gather all my ideas and samples into a presentation packet just for that client, I love that whole process. I can already see the complete room that I am creating at that point.”

HER HOMETOWN
“I lived in Trumbull, Connecticut, until I went to college.”
ON HER STYLE
“As a designer I am aware of how trends are changing all the time, but I’d say my style is more modern with a touch of rustic, especially in homes I am doing in the mountains.”
ON COLOR
“I’ve been drawn to earth tones for the interiors I’ve designed in Vermont. I think people appreciate the grounded feeling they get from those colors.”
WHEN THE BUZZ STARTS
“After I’ve met with a client, gathered information, looked at the space, and drawn the measurements, I am happiest as soon as I begin pulling the fabric samples, choosing colors, selecting furnishings, and finding the right accessories.”
WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS
“One of the wonderful things I do for every client is to completely accessorize, taking items from my store or going to various vendors to source the right lamps and the right picture frames. I like making the beds, fluffing the pillows, and hanging artwork. I want them to see it finished, so I will even pick out sheets and bedspreads, as well. Recently, one of my clients sent me a note saying, ‘I was very happy to see everything set up so nicely.’”
PENCIL AND PAPER OR CAD
“I am pencil and paper. I still love to draw.”
MOST AMAZING COLOR ON EARTH
“I would have said orange is an amazing color because of the depth that I see in different shades of orange, except that I was just in Turks and Caicos and saw the color of the water there. Photographs cannot even reproduce that color.”
DESIGN-WISE, HER PRIZED POSSESSION
“I have a colorful giclée that I bought 10 years ago. It takes up a large portion of one wall in my house, and it looks just like my dog. It’s an image of a golden retriever, only the artist painted the dog in orange, yellow, pink, and the brightest colors. The colors have so much life in them.”
BEST FIND EVER
“My best find was a pair of small, orange glazed ceramic greyhounds, probably made in the early 20th century, which I have kept for myself.”
THE SPIRIT IN HER
“What I strive to create in every home is perfect comfort. People come to me because they trust that I can provide that atmosphere once they get to know more about the different things that I can do. I love clients who want me to create relaxed, warm environments for their families, but who also ask for the best craftsmanship and the most beautiful goods in their homes.”
LAST WORD ABOUT HERSELF
“Detail-oriented.”
